Robert Blake had a remarkable and lengthy career in Hollywood, spanning several decades. He made his acting debut as a child in 1939, in the uncredited role of “Bridal Suite.” From there, he went on to captivate audiences in films like “In Cold Blood” and “Baretta,” accumulating nearly 150 acting credits throughout his illustrious career.
His incredible talent was widely recognized, and he received four Emmy nominations, winning one for his memorable performance in “Baretta.” Blake’s final dramatic role was in the murder mystery “Lost Highway,” released in 1997.

Throughout the court case, Blake vehemently denied any involvement in Bakley’s death. He maintained his innocence, claiming that after dinner, he left her in the car and returned to find her lifeless. Despite spending a year in jail, Blake continued to share his version of events, even giving an interview with Barbara Walters in 2003.

For Blake, Bakley’s passing was tied to her troubled past. He believed that someone whose life she had ruined had been watching her on television.
