Ali MacGraw, born Elizabeth Alice MacGraw on April 1, 1939, in Pound Ridge, New York, is not only a celebrated American actress, but also a model, author, and animal rights activist. After a brief hiatus, MacGraw returned to the screen with notable roles in films such as “Convoy” (1978) and “The Winds of War” (1983). However, her focus shifted towards personal growth and exploration of holistic practices.

She moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in the late 1980s, immersing herself in yoga, meditation, and becoming a passionate advocate for animal rights. In her autobiography, “Moving Pictures” (1991), MacGraw shared her transformative journey of self-discovery and reflected on her experiences in Hollywood.
